Anveesa CLI documentation

Documentation for Anveesa CLI, a Rust terminal wrapper for OpenAI-compatible APIs, hosted gateways, local model servers, screenshot-aware prompts, Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot CLI, and workspace-aware AI workflows.

Overview

Anveesa CLI is a Rust terminal wrapper for AI providers. It provides one command, anveesa, for interactive terminal prompts, one-shot prompts, stdin review, OpenAI-compatible HTTP providers, and command providers.

Terminal UI

Interactive mode opens a boxed welcome screen with provider, model, current directory, command hints, a green prompt, saved session memory, pasted-text cleanup, thinking tips, and token summaries.

Providers

Anveesa CLI supports OpenAI-compatible providers such as OpenAI, Sumopod, OpenRouter, GLM, hosted gateways, local compatible servers, and command providers such as Codex, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot CLI. Provider configs support extra headers and optional prompt caching.

Tools and approvals

Workspace context and tools can show task checklists, list directories, find files, search text, read capped snippets, attach clipboard screenshots on macOS, and perform approval-gated writes, edits, directory creation, and command execution with approve-once or approve-all prompts and diff-style file change summaries.

Tool limits

OpenAI-compatible providers can run up to 32 tool rounds per answer by default. The ANVEESA_MAX_TOOL_ROUNDS environment variable can tune the limit up to 256.
